Life Transitions
No matter what stage of life you are in, starting a new chapter can be scary, overwhelming, and sometimes paralyzing. I assist clients in navigating major life transitions, including starting or leaving college, retiring, ending relationships, coping with loss, changing careers, becoming parents, and aging.
-
Relationships
My goal is to help determine the valued relationships in your life, and help those relationships thrive. I provide communication tools, encouragement, and support to help either improve your relationship or move on from unhealthy situations.

Chronic Pain Recovery
Are you struggling with chronic pain or another persistent condition, feeling like you’ve exhausted all options? It’s easy to feel hopeless, as if this is the best it will ever be.
Pain can be a signal highlighting the need to explore underlying emotions. My approach emphasizes empowering you to address these emotional roots, promoting healing through self-compassion, patience, and a commitment to personal growth.
Together, we can work towards reclaiming your well-being and improving your quality of life.
-
Family Counseling
I help teenagers and families improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships. We will work together to facilitate discussions, identify patterns of behavior, and create a healthier, more supportive family dynamic.
-
Anxiety and Depression
Does it feel like the simplest tasks are overwhelming or like you are stuck in quicksand? I use proven methods to help clients with anxiety and depression. I help them understand and control their emotions, develop coping skills, and improve their mental well-being. I understand certain situations require medication, and if possible, my first line of action is “skills, not pills.”
-
Anger Management
Anger is a powerful emotion that, when understood, can be a catalyst for meaningful personal growth. Together, we will identify bottled-up emotions, experience them in a safe space, allowing for authentic expression and release from anger’s grip. We will delve into the underlying reasons for your anger, uncovering the different parts of yourself that contribute to it. Additionally, we’ll develop effective strategies to honor these intense emotions in a healthy way, fostering self-awareness and promoting positive change.
Let’s work together to transform anger into a source of personal insight and growth. Your journey towards understanding and embracing your emotions begins here.

Therapy Approach
Inspired Life Counseling offers innovative methods for exploring one's innermost thoughts, feelings, and situations that frequently result in anxiety, depression, anger, and emotional distress. Let's explore the past, be curious about the present, and make a straightforward, compassionate plan for the future.
Internal Family Systems Informed Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS) offers a framework for understanding ourselves by viewing our minds as composed of different "parts." Imagine your mind as a family, where each member has its own personality and role. Some parts may be anxious, sad, or angry, while others are nurturing, creative, or playful. IFS helps you identify these parts and recognize that they all have good intentions, even if their behaviors sometimes cause trouble.
The goal is to get to know these parts better by understanding their roles, fears, and needs. Ultimately, the aim is to become more Self-led, enabling you to respond to situations without being overwhelmed by intense emotions.
In IFS, the Self is not a part, rather our core, authentic essence, and our source of healing. The Self embodies qualities like compassion, curiosity, and calmness; and serves as a mediator among our internal family. This journey of self-discovery fosters a healthier and more peaceful inner world.
